Postcard form The Zone III by lukpazera Postcard form The Zone III by lukpazera
Another picture from series of landscapes inspired by the concept of "Roadside Picnic's" Zone and Exclusion Zone around Chernobyl NPP. This time - a winter version ;) Technique as usual - acrylics and Painter (I just discovered the amazing Sargent brush!)

Lukas,

i really wish you would do a live digital painting demonstration with painter / photoshop

Levi Peterffy has done some over here: [link]

hope you do this too, and i would be your No 1 fan :)

it has been a long time since you posted anything new on this site, your blog and your website.

hi Manush,
Thanks for a message and interest!
Yes, it's been a while since I posted new stuff indeed. I'm still alive and kicking though ;)
I've just been extremely busy with something that might not seem relevant to my paintings but it will be one day.
Basically I've been designing a software that has just been released. The software is character rigging/animation extension for modo.
My interests go into technological side of 3d animation a lot and I hope it'll start to be visible with time.
You can see the soft here:

The live demonstration is very interesting, I may try doing something like this although I have to say my workflow is not nice and straight so I don't know how it's going to look after recording.

Greetings,
Lukasz

Hi Lukasz,

thank you for the reply,

Rigging is complicated, i tried it and moved on. i really hope you succeed at simplifying the process, then i, like many others who tried and moved on would be in debt to your work.

regarding the live demonstration, i will sit through any workflow you employ. so please do try it out, i really look forward to seeing it.

i have a question if you don't mind.

the works from the "zone" series, are they all partially done in acrylics and then painted over in Painter?

i have done some work of my own, [link]
please do have a look. instead of acrylics i use ink for my texture, and then paint / composite in photoshop

Your brush strokes just slay me...man that thick texture makes it pop.

Wow. You did an amazing job of realisticly portraying how the snow and ice clings to the tops of the grass. I can practically smell the moisture in the air just looking at this!
